{"id":753,"date":"2013-02-28T05:13:04","date_gmt":"2013-02-28T05:13:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jayraskinarchitect.com\/?p=753"},"modified":"2013-02-28T05:44:00","modified_gmt":"2013-02-28T05:44:00","slug":"astoria-public-service-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jayraskinarchitect.com\/?p=753","title":{"rendered":"Astoria Public Service Building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jayraskinarchitect.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/P1050329.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-754\" title=\"P1050329\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jayraskinarchitect.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/P1050329-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jayraskinarchitect.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/P1050329-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.jayraskinarchitect.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/P1050329-480x360.jpg 480w, https:\/\/www.jayraskinarchitect.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/P1050329.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>One of the buildings I have been working on recently was the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailyastorian.com\/free\/astoria-s-renovated-public-safety-building-is-really-awesome\/article_9c115146-7c5a-11e2-bdd1-0019bb2963f4.html\" target=\"_blank\">Astoria Public Safety Building<\/a> , which has been remodeled.\u00a0 The building serves as a combined fire station and police station.\u00a0 There was a small addition added to expand the Police Department, and the space was reorganized to be more efficient.\u00a0 More importantly, the building was seismically upgraded to meet existing essential facility code standards.<\/p>\n<p>The building was built in 1976 and is the work of Brown, Brown &amp;
